When will the new schools
be open? &
Can my kids attend the new schools?
Here is what we've heard:

New Elementary School in Clarksburg (to be located
in the new town center at Clarksburg and Piedmont Rds): scheduled
to open September
2006. The school boundaries were
decided in March, 2005. (see map
(PDF))
Rocky Hill Middle School: Rocky Hill Middle school
used to be located off 355 at Wimms Road. That old middle school
has been converted
into a new high school. The new Rocky Hill Middle School is now located
at 22401 Brick Haven Way and it opened last year. The other nearby
middle school is called Baker, and it predominantly serves the Damascus
area.
High Schools: The local school is currently Damascus
High School. However a new high school is being built in Clarksburg,
where the old Rocky
Hill Middle School was located (off 355 at Wimms Road). The new high
school is scheduled to open September 2006.
