PARKS, CAMPING & TRAILS
The county plans to link several regional parks (Ovid Hazen Wells, Damascus,
Black Hill and Little Bennett) with a "greenway". This greenway
is
"part of a countrywide trail system that
will eventually
connect to the Capital Crescent Trail into Georgetown and Alexandria".

- Clarksburg
Park, 355 and Wims Road. This is a small park next
to the new high school, with a playground, 2 tennis courts and
a basketball court.
- Little
Bennett Park & Campsite, camping

- Ovid
Hazen Wells Park, 12001 Skylark Drive,
Clarksburg. 290-acre recreational park with three picnic shelters,
a small playground, several ballfields, picnic area with an open
shelter (available for rent). To be added (according to
the Gazette):
1.5 miles of hiker/biker trails, a
large handicap-accessible playground. The playground will have a
red barn-like
structure with
a silo slide. Additional phases set to include: more parking, a historic
carousel, an adventure playground, picnic area, miniature golf, and,
possibly an indoor-outdoor pool.

Balance's beautiful Clarksburg Studio. Body Balance is off Comus Road, about
5 minutes from Clarksburg Town Center. They offer a variety of classes for health,
excercise and relaxation. We've tried their classes and highly recommend them!
